Tanto is a japanese knife (dagger look) . The blade is about 30 cm long (12 inches). Also called kaiken if without tsuba or guard. The structure is similar to the katana's although often
built like hira-zukuri. Generally only for samurais, but many women used to hide a kaiken in
their obi to defend themselves.
